Apple Pie

"How to make an Apple Pie and See the World" is a cute geography book.  You get to travel the world for ingredients for an apple pie.  We read the book, did mapping, discussed different modes of transport, trading and made apple pie.

 

  We also discussed and mapped that we could get almost all the ingredients locally, within Australia. 

We used three different recipes, 1) from the back of the book, 2) Same recipe, but substituting gluten free flour and 3) an old family recipe.  No 1 & 3 each got an 8/10 rating and I rated the GF a 10/10.
